How do the gel pads work when used without a TENS unit?
The gel pads cannot be used independently. They must be used with DR-HO's TENS device, which is only provided when purchasing the gel pads.
Are replacement cords for the gel pads included with my order?
No, the wires that connect the gel pads (called leads) are not included in the package. These leads are used to connect the gel pads to the TENS device.
My gel cushions aren't fitting properly. What should I do?
If you experience stickiness, try moistening your finger and gently rubbing the sticky surface of the gel pad. Place the plastic film back on the gel pad and wait for about 1-2 minutes. Afterward, remove the plastic film, and the gel pad should regain its stickiness. If this method doesn't work, replace the gel pad for better stimulation.
How should I clean and store the gel pads?
Your new replacement gel pad comes with a protective plastic film. Do not discard this film. We recommend spraying the sticky side of the gel pad with water before and after use. After each use, place the plastic film back on the sticky side of the replacement gel pad.
Do not wipe the sticky side with a paper towel or cloth as this may leave fibers that will shorten the life of the gel pad.
Why do I get a rash after using gel pads?
After treatment, slight redness may occur due to increased blood circulation in the treated area. This is common. This redness usually subsides quickly. Some users may experience minor skin irritation from using the gel pad. To minimize irritation, be sure to spray the sticky side of the gel pad with water before applying it to your skin.
Also, make sure there are no lotions or ointments applied to the skin in the treatment area. Areas with dense body hair may cause discomfort during treatment. It is recommended to cleanse the area with soap and water and/or shave before treatment.
We recommend removing the gel pad and reapplying the plastic film after each treatment. Avoid leaving the gel pad in place for longer than your treatment duration, as the skin's natural oils can reduce the gel pad's adhesion, shortening its overall lifespan.
What are pads made of?
The adhesive that contacts the skin is made of pharmaceutical acrylamide and pharmaceutical glycerin and is latex-free.
